    My first taste of being one with the sky dates back to my days of Airborne training in the U.S Army when I was only 18 years old.  There’s something about flying at 1200 feet going 155 mph and jumping out of a C-141 Starlifter the size of a 747.  Your chute pulls open and the roar of the engines fade as you see the plane pulling away like a bus that just dropped you off on a desert road.  Now you’re taking it all in…you focus of your chute opening, the adrenaline is rushing, and now the eerie quiet.  Now it’s time to focus on a Parachute Landing Fall (PLF) so you don’t break your legs, arms and ribs. After about a minute of floating, which seems much longer, you watch for the horizon to rise to judge your height and you hit the ground.  You are now one of the many brave soldiers that wear wings on their chest and can say you are an….

    AIRBORNE PARATROOPER

    I’ve always lived a life of trying new experiences but never a daredevil or maniac.  Those memories will live with me forever, as will the first time I took my first drone into the sky with my daughter by my side.  My heart was racing just like when I jumped out of that plane.  I was seeing the world through a bird’s eyes and feeling the freedom of just taking it all in once again.  The ability to record my observations and share them for all the world to view….and now nearly 35 years later, I can say I am AIRBORNE once again.
